Öholm

A hundred years ago today it was reported that Öholm was returning from America, aiming to start his training for the season as soon as he was settled, with hopes of qualifying for the 4 man team in the Swedish-Norwegian cup match.

Bislett opened already on Saturday (the 25th), and several hundred took the opportunity to amuse themselves on steel-shod feet. On Sunday, the rink was packed, and the wear of the ice was so high that they needed to drive away some 25 cart-loads of ice shaves. Martinus Lørdahl, the manager, had been in Berlin to study the ice palaces and their offerings, and it were to be foreseen that these studies would result in many an interesting arrangement during the winter.
